Hey MA I see something!!!

Its a......hmmm deer? No not a deer. Maybe its a kitty cat?

No not a kitty cat. A Turkey then? NO no not a turkey! What is it MA???

UT OH Ma its a EMU!!!!! NOT something you would expect to see!

RUN FOR THE HILLS!!!!!!

(Sorry this picture above is blurry but Tessa was pretty far away when I took it with my digital)

January 16, 2006 right after I had put Tessa and Magic out for the day,(luckily I had the camera out that morning!) Tessa caught sight of something.... It really REALLY had her attention as you can tell by the pictures above. I couldn't tell what she was seeing but boy was she EXCITED. Finally I caught site of what Ms Tessa saw. I have no idea if the Emu has been rounded up yet, it was still out there yesterday am but it blends in so well with the field that its hard to see it!

(She really got her front legs muddy with the pasture being so wet in spots still). I ran out of 35m film so missed some real good action shots (used my digital but for distance shots it just is no comparision between the two cameras... The Nikon SLR wins over the digital that doesn't have quite enough zoom.......to pull them in.)

Hope you enjoyed the short short story and the photos!
